Becoming a BCBA doesn't have to mean leaving the classroom.
At Pivotal Paths Consulting, I offer supervision for educators working toward BCBA certification who want to stay rooted in their school-based role. I understand the unique demands of working in public education—and I help you navigate the certification process with structure, strategy, and support.
Individual supervision is a one-on-one session between the supervisee and supervisor. This time is focused entirely on your skill development, cases, goals, and questions. It’s a space to dive deep into topics like functional assessments, ethical decision-making, consultation strategies, and how to navigate real-world challenges in your setting.
In individual supervision, you can expect:
Personalized feedback on your behavior analytic work and progress in applying the skills
Opportunities to reflect on your strengths and areas for growth
Tailored coaching around school-based responsibilities, such as IEP participation or behavior plan implementation
Support in organizing and tracking unrestricted and restricted hours
This is your most focused, individualized learning time—and it's essential for building your professional identity and confidence.
Group supervision includes 2–3 supervisees working toward certification, meeting together with the supervisor. It’s a collaborative learning experience where you discuss cases, analyze scenarios, share resources, and explore ethical or clinical challenges together.
In group supervision, you can expect:
Peer-to-peer discussion and shared insight
Exposure to a wider variety of cases and strategies
Structured learning topics (e.g., ethics, data collection, collaboration, cultural humility)
Practice applying behavior analytic principles in diverse contexts
Group supervision helps you develop clinical reasoning, communication skills, and a sense of community within the field.
